Facilities Supervisor 5
This position supports the existing Wastewater Supervisor to manage and oversee the operations, maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant, collection system, pump stations, spray field operations, storm water collection system and related infrastructure at the University Park Campus to meet State, Federal and local compliance and operating within all issued permits. The position also requires managing the health and safety of the staff. The position does require having a PA Wastewater Certification Class A, E Sub Classes 1, 2, and 3. This current plant treats over 2 million+ gallons of wastewater daily and the system is comprised of 2 major pump stations, 4 lift stations, equipment that is fixed and mobile, 182 irrigation laterals on 500+ acres of maintained land, 66 miles of storm lines and 706 storm manholes, 912 sanitary manholes and of sanitary lines. The position will require working with PSU and outside Engineers to ensure all future needs of the University will be met and to work in close cooperation with surrounding communities to achieve protection of all waterways and downstream users. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
